THE FARMHOUSE
Get away to country living! Enjoy a delightful stay at our remodeled farmhouse from the turn of the century. The interior has been taken back to yesteryear in a style similar to what is seen on the popular “Fixer Upper” with the original shiplap walls, high ceilings and antique wooden floors. All the comforts of home await you with a full kitchen, laundry area, large dining area, two full bathrooms, and plenty of comfortable places to sleep up to 9 guests. There is a master bedroom with a king bed and private bath. For the kids or any additional family, there is a rustic bunkroom, with a triple bunkbed. Two double bunks stack on top of each other, with stairs to climb to another twin bunk on top. There is also a queen-sized Murphy bed in the living area.
There is intentionally no TV or internet hookup; the peace and quiet of this farmhouse will be a relaxing getaway you won't forget. You will fall in love with the view of the private lake off the large back porch, where wildlife watching is encouraged, as you will likely see deer in the evenings. The farmhouse is original to its neighboring ranch property. For additional fees, and weather/availability permitting, you can add fishing, hunting, campfire with s'mores, and ranch tours that include feeding the animals on the ranch such as cattle, goats, and pigs. For those who plan to enjoy what Waco has to offer, the ranch is a quick 20 minute drive to the McLane Baylor Stadium, and Baylor University, as well as the popular Magnolia Market in the silo district. It is convenient to other Waco attractions such as The National Mammoth Monument, Texas Ranger Hall of Fame and Museum, Texas Sports Hall of Fame, The Mayborn Museum, and Lake Waco.
THE bunkhouse
The Bunkhouse at Stoney Hill Ranch is an excellent add-on to our popular Farmhouse! Arranged with four twin bunk beds, you can sleep 8 in beds. Sleeping bags are provided for younger kids to camp out up in the loft which is accessible by a spiral staircase. The loft is the perfect place for little ones to play, read or just have fun! The bunkhouse has a separate entrance, a private bathroom with a shower, a small fridge and freezer, microwave and Keurig coffeemaker. Add the bunkhouse to your stay at The Farmhouse and make your family reunion, small group retreat or getaway extra special!
THE CABIN
Enjoy the silence, hike the mountain, relax on the spacious front porch.
THE CABIN
Enjoy a quiet getaway in this charming cabin nestled in the woods. This retreat is not geographically connected to Stoney Hill Ranch, and is about 45 minutes away, but is also owned and operated by our family. When you enter, you can't help but notice the exposed beams of an early 1800s barn imported from upstate New York. The rustic hand hewn wood surrounded by windows all around creates a warm and inviting atmosphere, bringing the outdoors in. Watch wildlife and relax in oversize rockers on the wrap-around porch, or enjoy the peaceful breeze on the upstairs deck off the master bedroom.
Downstairs is a large open room with a bunk bed (double on bottom bunk and twin on top) as well as a pull out couch. There is a bathroom downstairs with a full kitchen including a dishwasher, stove/oven, microwave and full-sized refrigerator. A gas grill is available to use outside. Head up the spiral staircase to the loft that is open to below. Upstairs houses a queen bed with a large closet, washer and dryer, as well as an exit to the outside upper deck. Dine or play games inside at the barrel-shaped table, or eat outside at the picnic tables.
There is purposely no TV or internet connection. Get ready to unwind, unplug, and enjoy the 70 acres of woods and trails. Take a short hike to the top of the mountain for an unforgettable 20 mile view and amazing sunset. The cabin is about 35 miles to the Magnolia Silo District and Baylor McLane Stadium in Waco. It is 9 miles to the Last Drive-in Picture Show, an outdoor movie theater in Gatesville.
